Meet Dr. Lynna Bui, DDS, MPH

Dr. Lynna Bui is a Bay Area native as she was raised in San Jose, California. She graduated with a degree in Biology from UC Irvine and then pursued a career in dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago.

Dr. Bui practiced as a general dentist before deciding that she wanted to pursue her passion in periodontics. She went back to school and received her specialty certificate in periodontics at the University of Pittsburgh. As someone that loves to give back to the community, she further advanced her education by obtaining her Master in Public Health at the Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health.

Dr. Bui owned her own practice in Palo Alto for over a decade while also serving as an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics at the University of the Pacific in San Francisco. She has published articles as a co-author in the prestigious Implant Dentistry journal and has lectured regionally and nationally about periodontics and implant dentistry.

Dr. Bui is board certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, an active member of American Academy of Periodontology, a Diplomate of International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and an active member of Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association, California Dental Association.

For Dr. Bui, everything is always about her patients. She believes in strong communication with restorative dentists and other specialists through a systematic team approach to ensure the best comprehensive patient care and experience possible. When she is not practicing, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
